December 2024
New York City
United Nations Headquarters, NY, USA
2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). Over the past two decades, through the collaborative efforts of UNESCO and its Member States, significant strides have been made in the global preservation of intangible cultural heritage.
In response to requests from various ICH organizations within Member States, the World Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Development Foundation (WICHPDF) is set to initiate and organize the “World Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Development Conference.” This conference aims to further advance the global protection and development of intangible cultural heritage.
The conference’s mission is to bring together ICH protection organizations from across the globe, to champion the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage through a high-level approach that aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By creating an international platform for cultural exchange and mutual learning, the conference seeks to enhance the protection and development of intangible cultural heritage worldwide.
The inaugural “World Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection and Development Conference” will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in December 2024.

Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Development and Propagation through Innovation (12/2/2022)
Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) refers to a variety of intangible forms of intellectual property such as behaviors or expressions that UNESCO has recognized as important to the cultural transmission of a region. UNESCO adopted the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2003. Forty-two items in China have been inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Intangible Cultural Heritage is an important symbol of a country’s historical and cultural achievements and an important part of its excellent traditional culture. Intangible Cultural Heritage is the result of long-term practices developed by human beings over the course of thousands of years of history.
We are in the 21st century, an era of rapid development of high technology, digital technology, artificial intelligence, and other fields. The popularity of smart mobile devices is greatly changing people’s way of life. Intangible Cultural Heritage has increasingly become a “legacy” far from our daily life. Only through innovative transformation and creative development can we effectively improve the effectiveness of Intangible Cultural Heritage transmission and dissemination.
Intangible Cultural Heritage is a cultural heritage that places a strong emphasis on human abilities, life experiences, and the human spirit. The inheritance of Intangible Cultural Heritage is the inheritance of the living state of human beings. The main body is people, and the carrier is people. It is mainly based on education and inherits core skills. Innovation and transformation are the normal states in the history of human cultural development, and continuous innovation in communication content and expression forms can effectively improve the efficiency of inheritance and communication of intangible cultural heritage. Sound, text, video, hypertext links, cloud technology, etc. have become new formats and new trends in the inheritance and dissemination of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The era of unprecedented collaboration and interaction between our fields has arrived. The innovation of core skills is the best inheritance of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The TYQA sonic intelligent acupuncture equipment comes from the 40 years of clinical research of the inheritors of the Intangible Cultural Heritage “Taiyi Qi Acupuncture”. It has been patented in the United States. It is a non-invasive and drug-free natural therapy based on the world’s “acupuncture” and using micro-energy sound waves.
The core of its technology is the use of high-tech technology to extract and amplify the human body’s “Qi” and “Cell Hertz.” The TYQA series of sound wave-specific vibration frequency equipment detects disease in the human body and communicates with the cells. The equipment harmonizes and works in tandem with brain waves to alleviate mental stress, suppress pain, improve micro-circulation, and enhance physical and mental health. It uses resonating micro-energy sound waves to solve micro-circulation problems that are currently unsolvable in medicine.

Representative Inheritor is China’s system of identifying “Living Human Treasures” as proposed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). As defined by UNESCO, “Living Human Treasures are persons who possess to a very high degree the knowledge and skills required for performing or re‐creating specific elements of the intangible cultural heritage. “Each Member State should choose an appropriate title to designate the bearers of knowledge and skills, the title of “Living Human Treasures” proposed by UNESCO being indicative. Among the systems in existence, there are already a variety of titles: Master of Art (France), Bearer of Popular Craft Tradition (Czech Republic), National Living Treasure (Republic of Korea), Holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property (Japan and Republic of Korea).”
An intangible cultural heritage (ICH) is a practice, representation, expression, knowledge, or skill considered by UNESCO to be part of a place’s cultural heritage. Buildings, historic places, monuments, and artifacts are cultural property. Intangible heritage consists of nonphysical intellectual wealth, such as folklore, customs, beliefs, traditions, knowledge, and language. -Wikipedia
